Acne Scarring

Sometimes nothing can destroy one’s self-confidence more than active acne or its remnants. For both men and women, acne spots and acne scars detract from other facial features and can be frustrating for the patient, who has usually sought a myriad of so-called ‘cures’ by the time they turn to Skin Temple for help.

Fortunately, the days of needing acne scar removal treatment with Roaccutane are over for most patients, with the success of treatments that don’t lead to serious debilitating side effects. Sometimes this can be as simple as a series of chemical peels, with or without microdermabrasion, the new Hydrafacial, or a series of laser treatments.

Whatever the state of your skin, the first step to a flawless complexion starts with a thorough examination and assessment of your individual skin problems.

Whether through chemical peels, microdermabrasion or laser therapy, Dr Teska’s medical background and extensive experience treating adolescent and adult acne means achieving flawless skin is easier than you think.

For acne scarring a wide variety of treatments are available, ranging from chemical peeling, subcision, dermal filling, blood injection and non-ablative laser resurfacing such as the Laser Genesis or Pearl laser to ablative laser resurfacing with the fractionated Ultrapulse CO2 laser. Some of these treatments can only be performed on light skinned clients, whilst others may be suitable for darker skinned clients.

These options, pricing, pros and cons can all be discussed in more detail with Dr Teska during your consultation.
